Hi, we’re Jeanette Anderson and Neil Reid, Directors and Founders of Nature Direct.
In 2007, because of our combined 50 years of experience in the direct sales industry we were approached to establish a distribution and marketing network for a range of revolutionary eco-friendly home care products.
The Complete Story
In 2007 we could immediately see these products’ potential for the Australian market. Whilst there were already a number of products on the market that claimed to be ‘green’, these products were often hard to find and expensive to buy.
When green is not so green
We did some research and learned that people were confused by mixed messages they were receiving about supposedly environmentally-friendly products.
There were plenty of commercially available products already being sold in the supermarket and even health food shops – products with packaging that display eco-friendly looking logos. But on closer inspection, most of these products had labels that contained scary warnings about toxic chemicals and alarming safety and cautionary notices.
A genuinely green alternative
All of this had us wondering; what if there was an Australian company that not only offered Australian-made, eco-friendly, effective products that everyone could afford? And what if that same company could inform and educate people on the insidious nature of toxic cleaning products and the effect they may have on the health of our families and our planet?
We decided then and there that we would live our dream and create that company, and so Nature Direct was born.
A chance to make a difference
One of the things we’re most proud of is the fact that we’ve been able to gather together an amazing team of Leaders and Distributors who genuinely want to make a positive impact on our health and our world.
That didn’t happen by accident.
When we met in 2004, we discovered a shared vision to create an Australian company that offered an unlimited opportunity for like-minded people to start their own business and be rewarded based on effort and results.
We knew that a party plan style of selling was a fun and interactive way to educate people, about the dangers and negative impact of toxic cleaning products on their health and wellbeing and demonstrate the effectiveness of our range.
That’s one of the reasons we chose to distribute our range via a direct selling business model.
The other reason was that we wanted to nurture a culture based on a sense of community.
After all, if you surround yourself with people who are driven to succeed, who are passionate about what they do, and highly energetic then that, in itself, is contagious.
Successful people like helping others achieve.
And that, in a nutshell, is what our company is all about.
We believe the future is an opportunity to develop a tribe of people having fun and being rewarded while making a positive impact on our health and our world.
The story of Nature Direct is the story of the future and the journey, not just the past. The story has yet to be written but it will be about experiences enjoyed together and skill development and growth. It will also be about achievement and financial success.
