Q. Why is my shower screen patchy?

A. Most shower screens have been cleaned with any number of harsh chemicals. This chemical residue can be tough to remove, especially when you add soap scum into the mix!

You may need to clean your screen several times with our Super Strength Cleaner and a slice of the Eraser block to remove this build up.

 

Q. Why doesn’t the product work on my oven?  

A. Cleaning your oven can be the toughest job in any home, especially if you don’t know what’s been used to clean it in the past.

Start with a baking dish filled with water and turn oven on high to create steam. Once the oven is damp, allow it to cool down until it’s cool enough for you to clean safely. Spray with Super Strength cleaner, leave for 2 to 3 minutes and then ‘scrub’ with our Seek™ Tough Guy Cloth (the scrubbing side). A piece of Eraser block will be effective at cleaning the glass doors and hard to reach spots.

Spray your oven trays and shelves with Super Strength Cleaner and soak them in hot soapy water overnight to help remove built-up grease and burnt carbon.

Remember, ovens are burnt in layers and must be cleaned in layers. You can purchase a ceramic cooktop blade to assist in scraping off the burnt carbon.

 

Q. Can I use the Easy Mop on my wooden floor boards?

A. Sure, our Floor System is suitable for all kinds of flooring. It’s especially great for wooden floor boards because the unique ‘spin’ action dries the fibres allowing for just the right amount of dampness to remove dust and grime.

Add 5ml of the Super Strength Cleaner concentrate to your water to ensure that grime does not build up on your floor boards.

 

Q. Can I use Nature Direct home care solutions on my composite stone or granite benchtop?

A. Absolutely. Start with our everyday cleaning solution – our Spray and Wipe Cleaner – first. This is often all that’s needed to keep your bench top clean. Wipe with a SeeK™ All Purpose Cloth. This cloth is double-sided and allows for ‘folding’ dirt and grime into the cloth – there’s no need to rinse the dirt away after each application.

If your bench top is still grimy, you may need to use Heavy Duty Cleaner. Spray directly onto the surface, leave for 1-2 minutes, then wipe as necessary.

We recommend you always test on an inconspicuous spot first.

 

Q. Are Nature Direct home care solutions safe to use around the house?

A. Nature Direct home care solutions are safe to use around your family and pets. But because they are 100% plant based, and some people have allergies to some plants, they may not be suitable to use around those people.

If in doubt, call your Distributor who will advise you which SeeK™ microfibre cloth you can use with just water. If any irritation occurs, cease use and seek medical advice.

Q. I’m pregnant and have been advised not to use anything that contains rosemary oil. Can I use the Nature Direct products?

A. There are three different chemotypes of rosemary; the one that pregnant women are often advised not to ingest or have skin contact with is Rosmarinus officinalis camphor.

(A chemotype is a designation that tells you that a plant species has different chemical constituents. This usually occurs because the plant is grown in a different area under a distinct climate that changes its chemistry.)

Nature Direct products contain the chemotype Rosmarinus officinalis cineole, so it’s safe for use around pregnant women.

In addition, the concentration level of the essential oil is low and we certainly don’t recommend that anyone, pregnant or not, put them directly onto their skin or ingest them!

 

Q. Where should I keep my concentrate?

A. It’s important that you keep your concentrates tightly sealed in a darkened area. Your laundry cupboard is perfect. Do not allow them to be exposed to high temperatures or sunlight. It’s wise to keep them out of reach of children – they are cleaning products and whilst they are safe to use around your family, the concentrates are very strong and irritation may occur if used incorrectly.

It’s a good idea to store your little measuring cup on top of one of the bottles. Mark the 25ml line on the measuring cup with a black permanent marker; this will hopefully prevent overzealous people using more concentrate than is needed when making up new applicator bottles of ready- to-use solution.

 

Q. Can my pet walk on my floor as soon as I’ve cleaned it?

A. Our organically-sourced ingredients are safe to use around pets. And our Easy Mop will ensure that the area rapidly dries to allow your pets to cross the floor without ruining all your hard work!

Q. Can I use any old spray bottle? I have plenty in my cupboard! 

A. The answer is no. Our concentrates should only be mixed with water in the high-quality, BPA free, opaque spray bottles we sell.

This is because some plastic spray bottles are made from inferior plastic which may leach into the made-up solution, compromising the effectiveness of the product. Your old spray bottle may also have once housed other chemicals and these too will affect the quality of the solutions.

Our Distributors are trained to advise our Hosts and Customers which colour-coded corresponding spray applicator bottle must be sold with each concentrate. This is the only way we can guarantee the quality and effectiveness of our solutions.

Q. How long will my concentrate last?

A. Australian regulations specify that cleaning products must have a two-year shelf life.

At Nature Direct, we wholeheartedly guarantee the quality of our home care solutions for at least two years. That’s because our concentrates are made from essential oils, a natural preservative that ancient Egyptians used to embalm their pharaohs and kings!

Q. What’s the warranty of the Pure Air Revitaliser?

A. The unit carries a 12-month manufacturing warranty. This does not cover the LED light within the unit. The light is not intended to be left on indefinitely and we recommend you turn the light off after a few hours.

Q. How long can I expect my microfibre cloths to last? 

A. Our Seek™ range of microfibre cleaning cloths are expected to last around 300 washes, which is generally 12 months. You can prolong the life of your cloths by correctly laundering them. Place them inside a laundry bag and wash with normal detergents. Do not use bleach which breaks down the fibre, or fabric softener which clogs the ‘microscopic’ hooks on each fibre.

Q. How does the Nature Direct Pollen and Dust Control Spray work?

Nature Direct Pollen and Dust Control Spray attracts and traps airborne allergy particles when sprayed in the air making dust and pollen fall to the floor and other surfaces. Nature Direct Pollen and Dust Control Spray is a fast acting negatively charged emulsion. Dust, pollen and dander are positively charged particles so when the Pollen and Dust Control Spray is sprayed in the air the airborne particles stick to the emulsion. Once a particle is negatively charged it cannot rise in the air again. It works in the same way as the magnetic attraction of negative metal, for example a magnet to metal .
